The Middle Tennessee Thread

Well, Was supposed to go to Lebanon and pic up a flock of Chocolate Wyandotte Bantams, But as soon as I got on the road, he messaged me rescheduling, so now I pick them up sunday...
So, went back home and decided to get some good pics of the birds while it is nice and pretty out... And I got some NICE pics. they are turning out pretty good.

Heres some of the SLW and a BLRW pullet I got from Donna.
They are by no means show quality, but they are gorgous and will be a good start to breeding some nice birds.

The roo he has is from my Foley Birds so he should be a nice roo. The pullets came from someone else and I sold them because of the poor lacing on the breast.

I don't hatch many SLW so I don't usually sell them. I don't know that I have ever hatched any SQ from my Foley birds. Most from the Foley SLW have better lacing.

I have kept several roos from the other birds I have hoping to improve fertility. I just want some chicks no longer worried about the BEST birds. What is the point of having SLW if I can't breed them.... I will worry about improving lacing and type when I have fertility....... The SLW are by far the most expensive birds I have. They have never been able to produce enough to sell.....

That is why I am not spending so much on the best birds I can find, I am not going to get hatchery birds, but I want decent birds, that I can actually produce something with, the lacing is not perfect, or is it horrible, but with the roos lacing, he should fix that easy. the type on both birds are pretty good in my opinion. im not looking to show but have a "In the middle" flock, where Ii can sell decent SLW with an affordable price. I will work on some minor things but not going to stress or spend too hard.

TShelton, I have some pics of them that he sent me, don't know how old they are but you can get an idea, their tails are picked in the pics though.he said the fertility was pretty good.
