You MIGHT want to enclose that with something to keep the heat in for the chicks. Some plastic or cardboard. UNLESS they are in a heated area already. I LOVE it though! Good Job!

I have some cardboard that I am gonna put around it. It's in the garage not heated but it was at 95 in the brooder when I left for work at 10 today and 96 when I got home at 8:30. I also have a 10 foot by 5 foot shipping crate that I was thinking about turning into another brooder.

That would make an AWESOME BROODER BOX! You could divide it up if needed too!

We starting clearing out my new CHICKIE room. We moved about 1/2 of the room to one side and I started cleaning the moldy walls, ceiling and swept the floor. Tomorrow will will do more.... maybe paint a coat of primer. I have not decided if I want to PAINT really. I think a coat of primer will be fine over the one coat of primer in there. Hubby thinks we should to protect the walls more. We might do that. Paint is BRIGHTER than primer too. We have to replace a couple of 8ft light fixtures since they don't work. The room has an AC/Heater wall unit. Hoping to keep the humidity under more control in the summer. I have a backup dehumidifier too. Getting EXCITED! Much bigger digs for everything! Now where to put the PINK SINK! I know I am going to have a BIG EGG SHELF. I need that. BAD.... I got 54+ eggs TODAY!

Only thing is I don't want that beast of a thing in the garage all the time. 3 car garage with 2 tractors, two four wheelers a three wheeler and two motorcycles. I need a pole barn baddd.

Well if you build more coops and brooders then you can get rid of the pallets . I only have 3 acres but I want to build a lean to off the back of the garage so I can free up some space in it.
