Ended up buying another heat lamp but there is not a single red heat bulb in Marshall county so I had to get a white one for right now. Also added some plywood I found around the garage.

I went to "visit" the TSC in Gallatin and Hendersonville. Gallatin had straight run Buff Brahmas (I so wanted some but I am holding out for pullets) Black Australorp straight run and Cornish rock. Hendersonville was sold out of everything except Cornish rocks. Coop in Sumner Co will have chicks March 21st!!!

I will agree on the peafowl. they were AMAZING!

Lady bought healthy looking chickens had them isolated but didn't understand bio security and the birds she bought ended up with MG and she had to CULL her ENTIRE FLOCK and strip her coops down to studs.... they wanted her to burn them. 6 months with no birds on the ground. BAD BAD stuff.

That is what they had here in Ashland City. I am talking my self out of this now. I might see if I can find some WL pullets for sale older ones. I am going to hatch like crazy from my Lav pen with the sex links.

Someone might be buying all my Marans Pullets

then I can move my REAL Olive Eggers in that pen and I should have an empty pen out back..... HUGE HUGE help. Sold 2 Choc Orp pullets today and I have 2 Rhodebar pullets sold tomorrow.

All that work for nothing I get the call this morning my chicks are at the post office get there the guy walks with the box and says they are all dead. I thought he was just messing with me but no. I am upset with whoever did the packing I called two days before they shipped and told them how cold it was gonna be and the women said you have 50 they should be fine. There was only a thin layer of the straw on the bottom of the box that's it.So I called and the women I spoke to was very nice and took care of me have another batch shipping out next week. Great customer service on her end just a little ****** about the packing and now I have 50 dead chicks to dispose of, and a jumbo empty brooder.
