Thanks, Tracy! The folks over in the genetics section have assured me that he/she/it is a girl based on how feather genetics work. Whoohoo!

So Radfarm, we can safely then assume that your blue is also a girl. I'm thinking that we should get you a boy out of my pure AM pen. I know those three I sent you are boys. Take a look at the pics I PMed you and let me know which one you want.

That means this GIRL is for sale! Yay! She's half blue ameraucana and half barred rock. A blue EE! THat pen still has three barred rock EE boys that need a home and a number of girls (a black EE, this blue EE, some barred rocks and a couple of redstars). Believer gets first pick, but after that they are up for grabs. The boys are free by the way. I just want them to go to a good home. I just moved another lot out into that pen so these big babies need to go!

Anne I was going to say that is a pullet for sure. I have one I kept playing the sex game with feathers scream pullet but the comb is wide for one..it's a pullet.Black and red partridgy..a new word for today

Holly I had counted wrong 8 made it to lock down plus the one EE. The last one is hatching how about that

I had to move my cuckoos and black AM out to a bigger growing pen. That was a pain a couple got loose Ugh. I gotta get the smaller grow out pens ready For this next batch

. Maybe I am thinking about getting a bw roo later on. I know happymtn has one now but mine are just hatched lol. One thing at a time. I want a boy like Levi man he was gorgeous!!

Thanks we love our Levi...sold all the hens and Calvin but Levi stays..I have a few more wheaten eggs in the bator and a few chicks so will have to see what we end up with for pullets.So glad you had a good hatch with them. I think if I decide to breed them again it will only be blue wheaten and no wheaten hens at all.

Still no idea what's going on with my little barred rock. Her poops are so odd, foamy a one consistent brown/rusty color. She acts fine, but I remain concerned. Would it be ok to give her some yogurt so young? She's a week and a half.

Tracyree I am not sure what is wrong with your little chicken but yes you can give yogurt to chicks, but you can also give probios over a wet mash mix. Wish I could be of more help!
