wow that's a nice coop!we are building one from reclaimed materials...nothing that fancy!what size will that be?

used a old pontune boat roof and the North was is barn wood.We will have hinged door on the top of the east and West wall and another glass door/window on the top of the south wall.I had only intended glass for the south side but worked with what we had.Ill probably add something to cover the windows on the east and west wall untill winter.Fancy curtains maybe haha.

The sun will shine into the south windows in winter and ill add blocks AND water jugs to

Hey guys I got an email from a lady who has a petition on Change.com to ask for the Post Office to stop shipping day old birds. She say one of My Pet Chickens boxes in her P.O. and was shocked to read on the side of the box that not all of the chicks survive shipping. She thought it cruel that they were shipped without food or water not knowing about the egg yolk they have absorbed to nourish them. This may be nothing but it may stir up something large so I thought I would give everyone a heads up in case you need to spread some education around.

I do understand the facts but secondly the posts office makes allot if money on shipping chicks...I bet it's huge revenue for buisnisse.Business industry needs shipping options.You ever see meat and egg birds shipped in the back of a big truck??the post office may be a safer trip than poor truck chickens.I don't think a petition will sway much...hope not

Got the plans off eBay. 12x6 with 2 separate sides. I really like that part. I have a couple of smaller coops made from scraps, but over time I see how leaks and being too low to the ground really bothers me. The average material cost he lists is still cheaper than buying one of those box ones without a run and since we enjoy a good project, we're in

Hey, y'all! I have a herd of 12 to 18 week old buff orps and olive Egger pullets available. Thought to tell y'all before posting on Craigslist. PM me if you are interested.
I also have a very few splash and blue true ameraucanas left.

Do you still have the ameraucanas? how old and how much if you do? And I might be interested in an olive egger too...
