They are full of live and quite spunky. I built a new brooder to keep them save. The silkies got to go with them. They are small, smaller really than the new silkies.

Buff's at 3 weeks. A pullet and a cockerel pictured. I have 15 chicks altogether. There awesome.

Does anyone know somewhere, within about two hours of Nashville, I can purchase quality polish pullets or hens (I'd really like a frizzle)? I've had a very hard time finding a breeder. There is a hatchery in the area that has them, but it has received a lot of bad reviews, so it makes me nervous. Thanks!

I ordered 8 pullets and 1 male silver wyandotte born sept 16 from Ideal poultry , they are doing great , can't wait till march when they start laying , oh and I ordered a male austrolope for my 3 females , I did order a red island red but a possem got one of my females and the other one got fly strike and didn't think it would make it, but I got her cleaned up caught it early and she is doing fine

Have you looked on Craigslist? or LSN? I know there are several people that have them. @Raven1 do you have any? I sold my only pair. I have some eggs in the bator but we will see what I get. Not going to keep those. OH Look in my siggy there is link with a breeders list for TN and see if anyone near you has them.

Thanks for the info, but I really need a small number, so I don't want to risk them getting cold during shipment. What is fly strike?!

Thanks, I haven't tried LSN! I think I contacted all the breeders on that list that listed polish, but none were available. I found some flea market listings on CL, but I wasn't sure how reputable they were. Maybe I'm just being too picky about where I get my chickens. I can't believe they don't have a chicken botique in the Mall at GreenHills yet!
