Is there anyone on here from the Columbia area? My husband and I are considering a move to that area and need to know if they allow chickens or have any type of rules against them. We are open to the Culleoka and Mount Pleasant area hoping to be able to get established there. I would appreciate any information. We presently have a flock of 26 and do not want to give them up.

Google is your friend. I'm not sure how accurate this is, but I found it in about 30 seconds on Google:
Columbia, TN. The City Code mentioned chickens, but simply says to not let them run at large, nor to let them come within 1,000 feet of any residence, place of business, or public street without a permit from the city manager.

You could always call the town and ask them

I am in Nashville but we are zoned agricultural so I can have what ever I want. My guess is that is the case with any area if zoned agricultural. If you are moving to a residential area I would call and ask.
