I'm in central ky but I have a lavender Ameraucana cockerel (8 mos ) I'd sell. He really needs some ladies and would love to be outside more...feral cats and hawks galore around this area

Thank you for the offer, but I am hoping that DMRippy will be willing to let one go for me when one is available... :D

It will be a bit before I have some and even then they will be young. If it was me and I had some at point of lay I would get him......I am impatient that way lol.

I may be making a trip sometime in the next month to visit family in Asheville, NC which puts me through Knoxville. :)

Are my chickens ever going to lay?! I have a silkie, Cochin, EE, and Wyandotte, from 6 to almost 7 months old, and still no eggs. Do I need to add light? I thought first year hens laid reguardless of the shorter days?
My RIR, Black Australorp started laying a few weeks ago. One of my Buff Brahmas laid her first egg yesterday. And noticed my BCM pullet making a lot of noise and pacing the fence line. Which is a tell tale sign shes about to lay. So I agree with everybody. Just have to wait.
