Just waiting for the girls to start laying, lol...
He's doing just fine, have a slight aggression issue, I don't think he liked wintering with immature girls... It's not bad, he just tests me when I'm not looking, as soon as I look at him he finds a blade of grass needs intense scrutiny...

Watch him... that might get worse as the girls get closer to laying.

He probably is just a little frustrated with the young ladies. He'll go back to normal, I know it.

Can't wait to have some of his babies! He's such a good boy! I even have a friend who is getting into chickens on a farm and wants my Roos! I'm so excited!

So glad you're on here!

Thanks for the warning... I put 3 JG girls that are already laying in with him a few weeks ago and he's actually getting better...

Lucky for ENC, all of my black am's turned out to be pullets so hoping to get her eggs soon, lol... Unlucky for me, I need another roo or eggs for my Lav project.. Heh, sounds weird that I was bummed on all pullets, lol...

That's awesome! :D Glad you have an outlet for them! Btw, he seems to be more show than anything... he rushes, but never pecks hard... well, except at one person and I actually didn't blame him on that one, she didn't listen and shouldn't ever be around chickens... I won't allow her back at my house, lol...

When mine start laying I might can help you. I have one extra young (maybe 6-8 weeks old) lavender cockerel. I already have 2 grown BUT not ready to sell him yet. I will hatch everything I get from them so I should have some cockerels by summer. I don't usually send those off with the roo guy.
