How cute! I just had my first hatch (ever)....it was horrible! Shipped eggs from in-state, 6 Ameraucana and 6 BO: 3 of the AMs and 5 BOs made it to lock-down. All three AMs came out first and are cute as a button (one week old today). Only 3 of the 5 BOs hatched and all three were deformed and had to be culled
How cute!
Where did you get your Ameraucaba eggs?

I Lavender and splits and Wheaten and Blue Wheaten Ams. BUT I only have one wheaten hen so got to build my flock up first. I got 2 eggs in a row from her. That was a first in a few weeks. Let see if she keeps it up.
I now have three laying... got 7 eggs in 3 days. I know for sure my Ameraucana is not laying yet though. Just brown eggs for now. Have caught my Jubillee Orp and both Dominiques in the act! Wish my Ameraucana would hurry it up already!
You know your am could be an EE and they can lay brown eggs......
I doubt it. I got her from a backyard breeder who had hers in separate pens from her Doms, BBS Ameraucanas and I saw hr setup and the egg she came from which was blue green.
She has slate legs and is black. She has a nice beard too. Her comb still is pink and she's never squatted. I don't ever see her in the coop, so I think she's just taking extra long.
But I guess you never really know till you know. Have to wait and see.
