Sorry you are on a walker and can't buy chicks. That is terribly sad. Lol. I had to go back to TSC in murfreesboro today to get feed cause I found out my shipment will be delayed due to weather. They had taken down that Anacona sign and I wanted to ask if they knew what kind of chicks those were but I was afraid. My husband made sure before he left the house to tell me not to get more chicks. I commented to a guy, maybe manager, about getting a better variety. He said they would get more every week and that they had bantams in the back but hadn't had room to put them out. I think if I was going to make a big deal of CHICK DAYS I would go all out. And I bet they would increase sales considerably if they changed their minimum to 3. People like me would be like " what's just three more?".

Me to…I know I would, I come from an advertising and marketing background so it's my nature . If you're going to build up "CHICK DAYS"
then you have to back it up too.
The selection wasn't' so great last year either…that's why I usually get mine from people on this thread….never been disappointed yet!
As for the walker, I had knee surgery so its temporary, I'll be out chasing those fluffy butts again in no time!

Yeah, I got some from DMRippy last year. But that requires planning, not impulse buying. Which, of course, would be better. I do have some eggs on order for some Black Javas. Can't wait to hatch some more little Chickies.
Hope that knee heals quickly. Be diligent on that physical therapy.

NOTE to self do not brood 30 Cornish Rocks (meat chickens) inside the house

thank goodness DH is a non essential employee for the city

so he got to stay home and we finished a 6' x 3' outside brooder, and half of them are leaving sunday. Just in time for my new hatchlings coming early next week.

I didn't realize how different those meat chicks are compared to regular ones. They are so aggressive with food! Heck I am just happy they are outside!!

I didn't think my son was going to come back to take him to the farm.

Yeah….the therapy is proving more painful than the surgery.

That is not good. My sugery was way worse than therapy. But they found my knee cap was not straight and had to pull everything lose to move it. I was buised from my hip down to below my knee. Hubby did some therapy before and it did do some good....but did hurt. They were impressed I had that much movement before they started.

For my rotator cuff surgery the therapy was worse. But the worst part was sleeping in a recliner for 6 weeks and gaining 20 lbs.

My knee cap had a hole in it and they replaced the whole thing….total knee replacement. Don't get me wrong, it hurt, but the PT since has been hard and frustrating. The new knee is perfectly straight so I have to use my muscles and tendons and learn to bend and walk on it again and it's tight! But…..I'm getting there!

Ouch! I know you'll be glad in the long run, though.
