Yeah, TSC has a 6 minimum and I didn't want any of theirs enough to hear his complaints. The co-op had no minimum and a lot more options. I think if he had seen all those cute little options, he would have understood my great restraint.

just got back from Franklin TSC and they didn't have too many except Barred Rocks and then some lady came up and said she had no place to put them but bought 24……they had about a dozen non sexed mixed bantams and a sign that said Ameracauna but they weren't…when I asked he said those all sold but he was getting more in..

Haven't been to Franklin Co-op, but you are right they usually do have more options and no minimums …..good thing I'm on a walker for another month or I'd be hurting because they were cute .

Sorry you are on a walker and can't buy chicks. That is terribly sad. Lol. I had to go back to TSC in murfreesboro today to get feed cause I found out my shipment will be delayed due to weather. They had taken down that Anacona sign and I wanted to ask if they knew what kind of chicks those were but I was afraid. My husband made sure before he left the house to tell me not to get more chicks. I commented to a guy, maybe manager, about getting a better variety. He said they would get more every week and that they had bantams in the back but hadn't had room to put them out. I think if I was going to make a big deal of CHICK DAYS I would go all out. And I bet they would increase sales considerably if they changed their minimum to 3. People like me would be like " what's just three more?".

I didn't know there were minimums at TSC. I bought only 2 ducks last year, but it also 12 chicks at the time, so maybe it counted. We were in the one on Lewisburg and they had about 5 kind. Almost always have 1 kind of duck. The Ams I bought last year are my best layers, I bet skip 1 day every 2 weeks and may amazingly beautiful blue/been eggs. I do like that they rotate and have sex links and meaties about every time, but at least 1 or 2 different breeds each time.

TSC's minimums are different for each type... 6 minimum on chicks, but only 2 minimum on ducks... have no clue what makes the difference, I'd have thought they'd be the same... my Jim came home with 6 of their EE pullets, lol, what an enabler... :D

Huh... just thought about it... bet their minimum correlates to price... chicks are cheaper than ducks...

Again with the snow and ice...
