Connie I know that but other counties will not take a dog from Cannon county. Yes I have called and tried multiple times. I am not asking anyone to take the dog home but maybe to THEIR local shelter. My options are slim. I have 3 80 lb dogs 2 of which would love to eat this little one. Not sure why people pick my place to drop dogs off but this happens several time a year. The only difference is this dog is much to sweet for me to handle this the normal way I do.

We us to have the same problem in white county before we got a shelter here. It was horrible for a while. I know in cookeville their use to be a pit pull resuce, and I say their is more rescues across the state if you can fine one they may will help you even if they are mix. Also, try www.petfinder.com you can put a free ad under the classifieds and you can put your zip code in and mark that you are trying to fine a dog on the front page and some rescues will pop up and you could contact them and see if they would take them.

I hope that helps.

I have yet again tried all morning to just get this dog somewhere other than my property. We (myself and my dogs) are trapped in a bad situation. I can't let this dog out of the kennel without worrying about my free range flock. If I let my dogs out to play they all go for the kennel the stray is in. Not good as the little thing is scared and unsure of what 3, 80 dogs are doing surrounding it. Sorry but this really ticks me off. If I knew who dumped it I would gladly shoot them.

I really could just scream right now.

Tracyree-on the news last night they had a Dr on with this virus going around like wild fire...can't remember the name of it but that is one of the symptoms and it lasts quite awhile..the common name was the summer flu It's not related to the hatchery issue which is actually not much of an issue considering how many birds they have shipped out and how few people have gotten sick..without a doubt the Beef industry trying to turn people away from chickens got that story full blown

Matlock-if you need more bantam cochin eggs we have a Mille Fleur pen and a mottled/solid black and blue pen-several Nationally shown in there. The puffy cheek green layers are Easter Eggers that roo could have been several different things but the chicks are still Easter Eggers no matter what he is.

CityGirl-I only posted one picture.I could get more

Thanks HBuehler. I'm feeling a lot better about it today as she had a much firmer poo. Probably just a virus, you're right. Good eye opener to be more careful though.

Hmmm.... That's pretty tempting Holly. I'll have room for 8 if they're flat, but maybe a dozen if I stack for the first week. Do you have some pics I can show Steph? She's more of a visual chicken egg purchaser than I am.

If I set the ones I get tomorrow on Friday evening, and I got some eggs from you on Saturday, locking down on the same day would probably work fine don't you think?
Thanks for the offer too.
