I'm not really sure as I'm new to chickening.

However the hens were really pretty. They were a fairly balanced gold and black color and had the puffy cheeks. The eggs they laid were a bluish green color.
The rooster that I saw looked kinda like a dominique but his body was much smaller and slimmer.

I got the notification from paypal today that my next eggs are shipped.

Guess I'll get the incubator put back together and fire it up again wed. night. I should get my eggs Thurs. and set again Friday after dinner. Here's a link to the auction page I found 'em on where you can see her breeding chicken's pics.

I had a thread going in the incubating and hatching eggs category, so many of us were planning on re setting so we are just going to keep that same thread going.
Too much fun!

Citygirl...cant wait to see pics but if they are anything like the one in your other picture I'm sure I'll be happy....

Brown Chicka- this has been a battle! I got pictures this afternoon and then lost my internet. I had a swim meet all afternoon. Thankfully the internet was back up when I got home. I'm off to upload the pictures right now! I'm so sorry it has taken forever!

Minuteman- so sorry about the chick loss. The intense heat is really hard on them. That's why I usually stop hatching by the end of July. Who'd have thought we would get such wretched heat this early!

Matlock- Yay on your hatch!! You are now truly addicted like the rest of us.

Can't wait to see hatch #2!

1newegg- I missed it. What are you hatching next? More lavs?

Holly- you are EVIL for posting pictures of the cute bunny! I do not need a bunny, I do not need a bunny, I do not need a bunny...

Chick2good4u- I have buff silkie. SimplySplendidSilkies has blue and black AND she has showgirls. Silkietime has white and splash silkies. Someone has partridge, but I can't remember who right now. There are a TON of silkie folks in Middle TN. Post your color and someone will likely be able to help you out.

Where'd Jenski go? Has anyone heard from her lately?

DId I get everyone? I'm a little fried. Today's swim meet had about 160 kids swimming. EEK! I am always exhausted at the end of these meets. Whew!

City girl- so you coach swim? Know anyngood swim teachers that will come to my house and teach my kiddos to swim?

Econman and matlock- how are the chicks doing?

So I'm a little worried about my 2 year old. A few weeks ago she had some crampy, painful, mucousy diarrhea. She was up two night in a row with it. Since the. She's had very loose stool, but hasn't seemed uncomfortable. Then I read about a salmonella outbreak from hatchery chicks. Ugh. We wash hands after every chick visit, but she's two and sticks her fingers in her mouth all the time. (probably stuck a chick butt in her mouth while I wasn't looking, stinker).

May have to take her to the doc if things don't firm up soon.

I really wish I could AT LEAST getbthe chicks outnof then house. The garage is just too hot. Now I'm worried thatbthe house is contaminated

There is a dog "pound" in Manchester or paws " humane society" in the boro. I don't like pits myself. It's the only dog that has bit me and it was wagging it's tail ugh plus the lock jaw thing.
