I can google some images to show the first lady. Me and the boys are knocking around together Saturday because Steph is throwing her sister a baby shower. Do you think you might have 6 or so I could get? By saturday?

Tracyree thanks for the info but no such luck! Things like this really upset me. It's not a problem taking on an extra dog but I can not risk the chickens lives. I am still working with the retired German Sherpard my husband just brought home from Iraq.
Anyway the dog is no longer here, and here I sit upset over the situtation, while the previous owners are most likely eating dinner not giving it a second thought. JERKS!

I got my eggs! The lovely Mrs. Pickens sent me 14 and only one was "leaking". It seemed fairly minor, so I dripped some candlewax on it and I'm gonna go and set it and see what it does. I candled them all and they look fine. I could see in all the eggs really good which I'm super excited about. I can't believe how tiny they are though. Got 'em sitting upright and resting now, and plan to set them tomorrow evening. She sent me 4 of the mille fleur callico, and 4 of the frizzle X which i'm excited about, but only one red, which is disappointing, but I understand that it is up to the chickens who feel like laying and with cochins, finding eggs that aren't under a broody is a challenge.

You all are making me want to dig out the hovabator I bought ten years ago and never used. Hatching sure sounds like fun. I cantbrisk the Roos though.

It's just so much fun getting to watch them hatch. My 7 and 8 year old boys really had fun with the first batch, and they both got to watch a chick hatch. Good times, and I like to show them stuff like that.
