The Middle Tennessee Thread

Ok I have Anne down for a dozen boxes of cookies
big_smile.png
when I can officially put them on the list in Dec.
Most of the Lebanon ads are mine but not all of them.I have sold several over the past few weeks..my pens have 6-8 birds each which is nice.I have a lot of young birds growing up so they will be full again by Spring..
I have 2 or 3 broodies right now...2 I'm fine with they are sitting on MFC's but Dixie is once again sitting on some layer eggs that I hadn't had time to collect.
I also have baby bunnies and young adult bunnies looking for a home.I got 4 out of a very bad situation over the weekend but now I need to find them a new home where they will be fed and cared for.

Boy this thread has been busy!

I hope I don't forget something or somebody

First and foremost I will need lots of cookies!!!!! The last ones I bought where freezer burned when I got them

Second... I found a stash of eggs... Three new layers

pictures just don't do olive eggs justice.

Next Congrats Connie on the babies and the marans

CityGirl good luck on the job.

Dixieland Good luck with the NPIP cert.

Breeding pens are moving along great! We have 3 1/2 finished coops except the roofs. Figuring out what to do takes longer than putting them up!

So far we have $10 for hinges plus screws in these coops no money is my favorite

Congrats on the olive eggs...my olive egger babies all laid mint green every single one I kept not a hint of olive...darn birds! So I must have sold the right ones
big_smile.png

OK got your dozens of cookies on my list..
Really I don't think there is a new one this year so if people want to start sending me in orders I will hold onto them...they get paid for in Feb when they come in...unofficially of coarse
smile.png
my cookies won't be freezer burnt. They get delivered fast.
I love the no money coops and houses...they are so much better than those cute frilly ones..unless someone wants us to make one of those for you.We would be happy to...for a fee

I will ask my son and PM you an order ... may be more than a dozen

I think she was selling her left overs

I got a white olive egger from you how did you do that? I think she is the one with the pretty color. Will it get darker? I know Marans take some time to learn to paint are olive eggers the same way?

Why pay a fee for one of those frufru coops when I can fight daily with my husband ...

know that feeling

those solid white are easy to get...I had white true Ameraucana hens and they were dominant white so all chicks came out white.Hopefully she will darken up the color some as she becomes more regular in laying. I have a solid white EE roo out here now looking for a home...Levi roo and my white leghorn whatever hatchery hen..white legs so not a true leghorn but she lays like one acts like one and otherwise looks like one so she is one according to her. He's about 4 months and no color leakage yet.
I'm pondering on another mini donkey baby...Ethan wants him real bad and he's cute.

Is she going to give me white babies too? She has one black feather on her chest that just popped out a month or so ago. What would I do with yet another roo? What could I cross him with?

You are trying to temp the newbie, again!
he.gif

White is a very complex color..if she's dominant she will only have white if it's recessive then any color may happen..you will find out when you hatch some of her chicks.
Me tempt anyone to come get chickens...never
gig.gif
but you may go home with more than I listed if you do
lol.png
there's not much left out here though that is for sale.I somehow have to get the layer numbers down though and most are family that are laying now so still trying to figure that one out...all the not named are for sale...I know you need a silkie to have it complete everyone needs one
smile.png
Now,that roo would cross with any of the EE Levi only carries the blue gene-that blue wheaten Ameraucana you like so much and this cross the pullets all lay blue eggs since there was no brown to make them green.
So I may send you home with a few nice RIR pullets..the stripey rocks have to stay sorry! It could be a Naked Neck those things are hardy as heck or I have a sex link pullet or two extra maybe.I have to count my Marans pullets I have black copper in with my sex links so I need to look at legs to tell them apart.Like I said who knows..just bring the big cage and you will be safe
gig.gif

And your kids...they need a bunny
bun.gif

I have no idea what Jess is talking about..no idea. She has some super Ameraucana over in her coop though..mine flew East a few miles right to her place

I know Holly VERY WELL in that department!!! This chicken thing is all her fault! She is the main reason I have 13 Roos!!!!!!!!!! Ok 11 now ... I think (not really but we will blame her
gig.gif
). I bought like 22 pullets (and some free roos) back in April and then there have been a few more trip in-between for more pullets and roos
hide.gif
She gets me in trouble by tempting me! Emmalynn is tempting me now too.... BR hens and AM's (hubby even asked if I wanted them...
lau.gif
) I think I am going to stick with what I have as far as breeds go.

Everything I get seems incomplete.... Wheaten AM Roo, need pullets. New Hampshire pullets, need a roo.... Leghorn pullets, need a roo.... Barred Rock pullets, need a roo..... shall I go on!!!!! So a white Am roo.....
hide.gif
you get the picture....

STOP THE MADNESS!!!!!!!!!
