My EE cockerel crowed for the first time today, too. I'm trying to decide whether to sell him or not. I don't want to breed EEs - but I enjoy the crowing. Anybody want an EE roo?

Are you breeding amerecauna or what? I see a tuffy face in the bottom left corner. Lol! If he really is need of a home and docile. I can give him a home till I find someone who.breeds them. He is gorgous.

He is really an EE and not an Ameraucana. He is going to look like my EE roo Carol only I think he will have more blonde in his hackles.

This is old... but this is the one you thought was pretty...

What did you get?

SLW and DB.... I think that is it.....

I got the DB to!
A few GLW to. I bid on most of her dottes, but they go high the last 10 min of auction.
I had a full on bid war with a kid a few days ago for SLW eggs. LOL they got to high for me. I wouldnt mind paying good money if they was SQ. But they look to be just Backyard quality.
Her Sussex on the other hand....

I plan on getting Light sussex from her soon. I have a friend who has Buffs.
Her Brahmas are nice and good price. I found a guy who has Silver laced. But Aint paying 100 for a carton of them. lol.

He has SQ Wyandotte bantams.
Good BLRW
Great prices until you get to the Brahmas...Lol. But They are really good quality and rare. So I see why.

My Main Silkie roo died a month ago, And my backup is turning out really nice. I picked him up and he is big and meaty.

I have a question, I have a pair of SQ Silkies that I bought at Tim and susies. Beautiful birds, they are fluffy and meaty. The others are from a diffrent farm that just had silkies and let them do w.e.
mY Question is, Is it just me or do silkies bred properly are hardier and fill out better then just backyard grown silkies?
I feel silly but I am curious.

HE IS STILL PRETTY! LOL!
Idk, He is so cute!
Kinda like my Phoenix roo, Not only beautiful, but he is got a cutness to him.

Been traveling the past few hours. The roo is an EE. I have a few true Araucana - but no Ameraucana. I was planning on breeding Araucanas until my roo was killed by a hawk a couple weeks ago. Don't think I want to breed EEs - but I'll probably keep the EE roo for awhile at least.

The EE roo is only 16 weeks old - not sure what his personality is yet. We'll see over the next few weeks. If he's the least bit aggressive, I'll re-home him. Can't take any chances with the little grandkids visiting.

I won't be online much the next couple days - hope everyone is doing well and getting ready for the holidays. We have a lot of family stuff going on through Friday - then it'll be quiet and low key the rest of the holidays, which is wonderful.

Donna - I love that roo of yours.

I do too, I think he is rough on his girls but he has never been aggressive to me. Pretty is why he is here,

he throws pretty babies. Testing soon to come.

I don't think you have to worry about him being aggressive at that age. The aggressiveness didn't hit my roos till the girls were ready to breed and the fights started over the girls. You will get some warning they are getting aggressive, at least I did. They will make small attacks to see how you react and then when they feel you out they will start the full on attacks. I don't think he every hurt me... but that is why he ended up in a cage... Out of ALL my roos I have only had the one that was aggressive and he is no more for this world
