The Middle Tennessee Thread

I am like you about the weather and camping. I would not do it right now. But I am not that big on camping anyway.

Bedbugs..... It was on the news a few months ago, it is a problem all over the country. I saw a show on parasites. And this woman came to Nashville for a convention and came home with bed bugs from a high dollar hotel. A couple of years ago we were traveling and HAD to stay at a motel and it was full of BUGS.... I don't know how we didn't bring them home, just luck I guess.

Check out the room you will be staying in BEFORE you pay them, I wish we had

I think you could buy something for bed bug and take it with you.... I may do that the next time we travel. I don't want a repeat bug experiance. Enjoy Nashville! I don't know anything about the area you are going to or camping. Maybe someone will join in with some help.

Hubby just told me where that is.... I have a friend that lives down there.... I will ask her on facebook for hotels and camping if she knows any.... SHE is def not a camper type.

Sorry, she was no help! lol.....

OK I got this email to forward so this is as good as it gets for me.... send this email to the address for [email protected]

Subject: BL2011-47

Esteemed Men and Women of the Council,
Please put BL2011-47 in the hands of the citizens to decide whether or not to have backyard chickens. By passing this bill, you will not be asked to re-address this issue every two years until it finally reaches an amiable resolution. Allowing each citizen to decide is fair, and much like other personal decisions - such as whether or not to have dogs and cats, etc.
Thank you so much for all that you do.

So this comes up every two years? Really!? that is confusing ... if this goes before the voters boy do we have some educating to do! Help em out guys!!!!

Y'all batten down the hatches today. It's supposed to be a nasty one until that front makes it through. I am purely tired of rain now. My pens have been muddy since Thanksgiving. It won't stay pretty long enough for them to dry out. Ugg!!

On the plus side I go into lockdown today. As of last night there were 5-7 buff silkies looking good, 2 BBS and one black/lav split. Fingers crossed that all 8 make it out. Two of those buffs looked off when I candled last night, so I'm not holding out a lot of hope for those. If all of the others make it out though I'll be happy. I have heard that big shifts in air pressure can kill developing chicks. Let's hope not since a doozy is coming through today.

Y'all stay safe!

yeah... lets hope that is not true.... My babies are due to hatch today.... yesterday 2 had pipped. More Leghorns/EE and lav/lav splits.

That wind was really howling at our house last night... I heard all kinds of things rattling around outside. Guess I will be cleaning the shop today....

Good luck!

Lori.... Your girls is laying for me

I put a trainer egg in there so maybe that will fix it. I really want to hatch those eggs. They are in with my lav roo temporarily. I will let you know when I put all your black back together for hatching eggs. I am going to put my Lav Pullet with that hunk of a boy of yours. Then when I get some youngins I can have two full Lav/Lav Split pens and a Black pen too.
