The Middle Tennessee Thread

Hey chicken friends been a couple weeks since we been on here glad to see everyone survived the nasty storms....I saw where citygirl posted about rutherford co-op trade day dates.... I was advised that gallatin co-op is having its trade day this saturday march 10 so maybe yall may look in to that as well.. I know we have a few that needs to sell as well

Kristin13 I heard the limit in murfreesboro is 6 chickens and you can have roos but they have to be at least 2000 feet away from a residence and you dont have to have a permit.... but you do have to be in certain zones so you need to check what zone you are in. you can look it up on internet and it will tell you

How long have they advertized the gallatin swap? Me and wayne might be interested, but we was planning on going to elkton. I went to the fairveiw sale.. kind of a let down , they are probobly holding out till the scottsville one.
I want more wyandottes,:) i have blrw eggs coming in this week. Ywy. Prwying for good hatch!

According to the co-op men, roosters sell really well at these Trade Days. Apparently the local hispanic community comes out specifically to buy roosters. He said people never seem to have problems selling them. Just FYI.

I don't know about hatching eggs. It's worth a try, I guess. It shouldn't be so cold or so hot that it would hurt the eggs and you can always take them back home and put them in your own bator.

We said about 18 EE and Olive Eggers Eggs.... What time is the trade thing?
