I have a ton that are around 6 weeks old. Does he want tiny ones?

She needs a Standards size full grown roo or close. She has a predator problem and lost all but 8 hens and now she needs a roo to watch them. She has bought a couple from me before and they were about 4-6 months old. She was looking for a RIR Roo but I sold them.

Anybody else with LF Roos? She is not going to drive very far I don't think, she is in Ashland City area I think.

I have five or six 15-week old Swedish Flower Hen roos. I only plan to keep one. And I need the space in my coop - so I'd love to rehome the extras.

Ok, so I have talked another friend into raising back yard chickens. He's pretty much finished with his coop and run and will be ready for chickens this weekend. He would really like hens/pullets at the point of lay or really close. Anyone have any of the following breeds? RIR, BO, Delaware, Wyandotte or BR. Thanks!

Donna - I moved my Marans hen tonight into her new nest area and she's doing well. My son (4yrs old) helped set the eggs and watched me move her. Her bark was definitely worse than her bite. No pecking once I picked her up. I'll try to take some pics over the next couple weeks. Maybe I can get the little guy in couple.

Both of my broodies are holding tight. I have not seen the Splash Rock move off the nest since she settled in. The Marans.... she has been up an around. Not to worried. I have TONS of Marans chicks so if this does not work it will not be a huge loss.

Good luck with yours.... Pictures are always good

Sorry, I don't have any POL to sell right now. I will thin my flock in the fall and replace my current pullets with new pullets, but they need to be laying or really close before I sell and they are just chicks

Anybody got any extra grown roosters for sale? Someone is emailing me for some, I don't have any

I am leaving for a month tomorrow so we did the day 10 candling a little early, at day 8. We had 2 D'Uccles and 1 Barred Rock that were clear or blood rings that got scrapped. 5 were such dark shells we could only see the air sac and 13 of the remaining 14 had movement in them. Looking at my 4 current chicks I think, optimistically, that 3 of them are hens. Not sure how the chicken math works but we are still shooting for 4-5 layers and no roos. We may need a bigger coop, not sure Shannon is going to be willing to get rid of any chickens we go through the trouble of hatching ourselves.

At this stage for you chicken math is this.... Half the eggs will hatch and half will be roos. So..... if you got 18 eggs, 9 will hatch, and 5 will be roos so you should be good!

I had a hatch around the first of the year.... I don't remember how many I set but most hatched.... 14, 2 died when my light blew, and 3 were roos

I think.... Ameraucanas are hard fro me to sex. Pretty sure I am right at this point though... not positive one is a roo YET....

So I'm on my second hatch of turkeys, and for the second time I went to add water and lock them down and found a pip!

I got them in their carton for hatching and barely added water before the second one pipped. Guess if I hatch anymore I'm gonna lock them down on day 23! These are due Friday. Guess I'm running kinda hot.
Really excited... can't wait to see what hatches. 5 went to the end.

Can anyone with extra pullets that are old enough to be outside without a light please pm me with a price for your extras. I'm looking to meet to get birds somewhere between Murfreesboro or smyrna and Kimball Tn off I24. Thanks
