Lori- My sister may be moving that Saturday. If she is I am in charge of her kids and we will be at the zoo all day. :) If she moves the next weekend I will be there will a load of small roosters to sell. I am covered up with EE and AM roos.

I think that black I hatched from CJ's eggs is turning into a rooster too. It is so dark that it is hard to see anything definitively about it. It's like a little walking black hole. I'm hoping I can sell both the black and the B/W one to 4Hers. They are both GORGEOUS!! Just for the record, this makes 3 of the 4 I hatched from the 25 eggs male. Sigh. That was a rotten hatch.

I've got BBS ameraucanas to sell, as well as a variety of EEs. They are all getting big enough to sex finally. That grow out pen is full, so some of this lot need to go!!

I can't get a good shot of it. It just sucks light in and the camera won't focus on it properly.
This shot is from two nights ago.

This one is two weeks old. This guy?/girl? is a slow grower. It started off substantially smaller than the others and has taken longer to get up to speed.

It is entirely possible that it is a girl. I just think I'm seeing streamers starting out the back. Want me to bring it to the meetup and let you check it out?

I still need to sell the Oreo boy too. I think he's gorgeous!

Will anyone have pullets for sale in mid- to late June? We're working on the coop now and want to start with pullets. I'd prefer 4-6, preferably a mix of Ameraucanas/EEs, Australorp, Buff Orpington, Barred Rock, Maran, and maybe Wyandotte. I don't mind if they aren't laying yet, but they need to be sexed (since we're in Nashville) and coop-ready.

The NPIP guy is coming to my place Sunday afternoon. So my question for all you folks who have been through NPIP testing - how did you catch each of your birds for them to be tested? If he had come in the morning, I would've just left them in the coop where I could get to them easily. But since he's coming in the afternoon, I don't want to keep them locked up in the coop until then. I think I will have to close off under the coop - cause if they go under there, there's no way I can catch them. Any suggestions? Thanks!
