Ok if it was me, I think I would keep them in the coop. I have a net to catch mine with and I don't let mine free range so they are always catchable. The NPIP guy is coming to my place Sunday afternoon. So my question for all you folks who have been through NPIP testing - how did you catch each of your birds for them to be tested? If he had come in the morning, I would've just left them in the coop where I could get to them easily. But since he's coming in the afternoon, I don't want to keep them locked up in the coop until then. I think I will have to close off under the coop - cause if they go under there, there's no way I can catch them. Any suggestions? Thanks!
I have a net that I use to catch them. I was out looking at the coop and run earlier, and it should be pretty easy to block off where they go under the coop. That would keep them out in the open area of the run where I can catch them with the net. I'll close the pop door to the coop, and after each one is tested, I'll put him/her in the coop. Once they're all done, I'll open the pop door and let them all out in the run again.Ok if it was me, I think I would keep them in the coop. The SUNDAY part was throwing me for a loop......
Good Luck!
