Checked on my broody hen and there was some chirping and a few heads poking out today. I took a couple pics, will try to get a couple up on here tomorrow.

I have been thinking about getting NPIP Cert. I would like to sell some birds at that Cookeville auction. How does it impact buy eggs to hatch? Can you still buy eggs or can you just buy from NPIP Cerf? I am not sure I am done picking the birds I want and I don't want to limit myself.

I would be willing to help you out also! Maybe split days with someone else even...I'm only about 15-20 mins from you. I could get my boys to help

I called a few pet-sitters last month when we were gone for 3 days...and no one really has chicken experience (some were willing to learn though & were intrigued). I ended up paying a neighbor/friend to check in on them for me - they were about 8 weeks old at the time.

Also, thanks for keeping me posted on those eggs...I am so excited!!! These chickens are addicting...

I am really excited about your eggs too.... I was shocked! really! I picked up 16 SLW in FL set them today along with some Cuckoo Marans and Lavs Ams and Super Blue Egg Layers.

Next time I need to go somewhere (Hubby is a home body so it will not be often) I will check with y'all. I am willing to help too if anyone needs help.

Hey... who all is going to the Sale Saturday? and what are you bringing? I am going to put an ad on CL and will add what ever you are bringing too.

I have SLW chicks, some EE and Olive Eggers and NH (day olds), blue and reg barred rocks (day olds) and probably some Marans, if I have any left. I have not taken an inventory yet.

I will have some Lav split Ameraucanas and Blue and Black Cuckoo Marans as day olds. I will only bring them if someone want me too.

I also have some EE pullets, Blue Barred Rock Pullets, and Blue Rock Pullets all laying I can bring if anyone is interested. I don't have a ton of room in my car so I am only bringing chicks of various ages.

I have hatching eggs too if anyone wants some I can collect this week and bring them too. Just let me know.

I could use a little help on breed...I know I have two Marans (feathers on feet gave it away). The rest could be SLW, BR, or Lav Ameraucana. These are all from Donna's eggs. Thanks Donna!

Ok I can help some... the pics are not working. A SLW will be chipmunk looking, a barred rock will have a spot on its head an a Split Am will be all black and a Lav will be lightest of blues. I don't think you have a Lav... maybe a split. I am just now starting to get Lavs.
