Is anyone interested in a Speckled Sussex Cockerel (14 wks old)? I need to rehome before he starts crowing

He is one of my favorites...

Does anyone know of a trade day in middle TN this month? I have lots of chicks I hatched hoping to take them to the Trade day in Murfreesboro, but they said they are not having one this month. I am going to set one more batch this week when I get my BLRW eggs and I am going to stop till August maybe.

We doing feed soon? I have plenty still, I have 6 bags of chick starter and a 55 gal barrel of pullet grower 1/2 barrel of layer feed. I am thinking of upping the Tucker Layer feed I use for my breeders. I am going to see if that helps hatching the Ameraucana eggs.

Hey Butch as soon as my new pullets start to lay I will have a couple of Exchequer girls for ya!
I am going to do some moving of birds this week and I am going to put your little roo with my BIGGEST EGG LAYER and my BEST LAYER... I think 2 girls would be good to start...... How many chicks you want when I start hatching in AUGUST! !?!?!?!?!?!?

Anne- Heidi was wanting cochins. He may be right up her alley.

Emma is waiting not so patiently for the girls to lay but the heat may be the reason we aren't getting eggs. We lost one of the wellies and 3 of the orps over the weekend due to the heat.
Muchly appreciate the thought - but I have a neighbor that can get a little hinky - I'm still letting him adjust to the thought of our having chickens PERIOD.

Don't wanna push my luck with a roo yet...

BTW - anyone interested in the free crates - the fella called me back again (he had so many folks leave messages, he lost track) - as of yesterday, there were still 30 - 40 crates left for the pickin'...just FYI!

As many as you would like to share! I think this will boost the egg size in just two gens. we will need to breed those girls right back to an Ex roo to lock the color back in. Very cool!

Butch I am sure I don't have your number but I will PM you when ready.
Donna it looks like feed mill on June 9th. I have to go to GA. for my G'daughters recital (Ballet) this weekend and I have got to figure out how to get our crates too
