Yeah! That is great hatch! I still didn't get to break up my broodies with chicks today......My broody hen came through! She hatched 9 out of the 11 eggs I put under her. I candled the two unhatched eggs awhile ago, and neither looked like they'd ever developed at all. So I tossed them. There are 2 yellow chicks, 2 grey/blue, 1 black and 4 chipmunk stripes. They should all be Easter Eggers - the eggs came from my EEs and Araucana hens - and one egg came from a Welsummer - and the three roos in that pen were two EEs and one Araucana. Here's the video of Onyx taking the babies out of the nest box for the first time - and Onyx and busy dust-bathing in the pine shavings.
