OK, I thought I would make this into a separate post so you don't have to read through all my ramblings to get to it.

We have another show coming up:

I sent an e-mail to get more information, and I got a nice reply from Tim Shelton, President of the Volunteer State Poultry Club:

The VSPC meets the second Sunday of the month at the local VFW hall in Dickson from 2 to 4 PM. Show catalogs will be sent out by snail mail and e-mail the first week of March. Entry forms will be in the catalog package. All times for events will be in the show catalog. Testing should be done prior to the show. Thanks for your inquiry and interest in the club. I will send directions to our meeting place later as i cannot remember the name of the street it is on. Tim Shelton, President VSPC

So there you have it. I had no idea this club existed, but I'm always happy to find poultry clubs. Too bad they don't have a website. Anyway, I will post more info on the show as I get it. I will also post a new thread on this under the Meetups section of the BYC forum.

Oh I still have my Cornish ladies..they are a keeper and 1 of the roos but I have 5 of them

I have some in my Wyandotte pen and rest are going in with Megs big white Rooster..just hatched another monster from him..wow that guy makes big chicks.
GS cookie sales are officially over but I have some boxes left..not sure about the samoas but I will check may have to fight City Girl

She sold just over 300 boxes
Pretty today beautiful Spring weather coming..I need more chicks-ok I don't need

I planned so nothing would be hatching while I was in Savannah so other than the Lavs nothing this week...and now I will be hatching while I'm in Gatlinburg

now if it rains while I'm up there

Before I head up there though we have the Big #6 going on next week..my little guy managed to survive the first 5 years

or we managed to survive them I'm not sure which has been harder.

Why are all the shows around the Holiday's? Cook and clean or chicken show..

i have family from NY coming in and are leaving on Saturday...so we are having Easter dinner on Friday....I guess my cleaning will be on Easter LOL...

Hey 1newegg, did you happen to catch the name of the breeder who showed the wheaton bantam Ameraucanas? When I was at Dalton 3? years ago, I saw a couple of the most gorgeous wheaton hens there, and I never could track down the breeder. . .

Jenski- I might be able to make the Dickson show. I have to be back for a show that night, but I should be good during the day. FUN!
I should have lots of young chickens to move on about then.

Does anyone need a black ameraucana rooster? My big boy Hamlet has bumblefoot in both feet and needs someone to do the foot surgery. He has not responded to the antibiotics and foot soaks that I have done. I can't do the surgery by myself and have no place clean for his recovery. I will happily give him to someone that will help his feet. The poor baby looks so uncomfortable. It's killing me.

He is a GORGEOUS rooster and really mellow and good natured.

Well,I'm assuming my chicks have taken the scenic plane to TN..I'm sure stuck at some airport between TX and TN..Express Mail at it's best

We are having Easter and a Big 50th Birthday both on Easter Day so I must cook and clean...but if I could get it done early....
