The Middle Tennessee Thread

I just wanted to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving. I have a lot to be thankful for. My youngest son is on American soil this year instead of in a war zone. Even though he can't make it home, I'm thankful. My oldest son & i are working out our differences. I have 2 beautiful grandchildren, a beautiful loving wife. I'm healthy & blessed. And my chickens are still laying. :D

Since I don't have to cook (we're going.to my brother's & he's cooking) I had some time to kill. I've been meaning to build a grain bin to hold my feed & scratch. So I got out the saw & drill. I've almost got it done, just ran out of wood. :( it'll be a two tilt out bin. I just need one more bin & a top. I'll post pics when its done.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!

I am thankful for so much right now..... but especially that my niece is getting the sale item I want from Walmart and I don't have to fight that

Happy turkey day! I am thankful for great friends, and BYC friends, For my birdies, for PIE.(LOL) thankful for living another day, roof over my head..
Also most of all. this was the first time we have actually all sat together, ate at a good time, great food, and lots of it, and family surounding me, also NO DRAMA. It was literally PERFECT.

Now I am chillaxing with a stuffed tummy and catching up on the few BYC forums.

OH, Also finally got a rifle from my cousin, the coyotes are getting ramped here, and are starting to get TOO dangerous.. Me and a neighbor are arranging going on some coyote and fox hunts here to get rid of the pests...
Also have to keep the rabbit population down, one reason the predetors are getting so close to houses and livestock. Rabbits EVERYWHERE.
So...Who wants rabbit? :)

I hope everyone is doing well, and stuffed full of turkey!

I finally got my incubator ordered...I found one on sell at Meyer hatchery about $30 off. So Donna, I will be ready for about a dozen BLRW eggs about the first week in February

..we are also going to order 25 pullets out of Meyer's Production Pack on February 19th we are going to sell all of our bantams and replace them with big layers.

Hey...does anyone have or know where I can get buff brahma, salmon faverole, or white plymouth pullets in the Spring? My pet chicken has them but wants me to order a minimum of 4....I only want 2 more tops.
