I'm curious how the egg production is in the RLBW you are working on.
Do you have any numbers on how yours lay?...I've seen a few other website say they are not great egg producers...
(anyone else w/ some want to put in their 2cents on that?)

I just adore the look of them (doesn't everyone) so I was considering a few basically as eye-candy in my layer flock
(have other projects, _not_ going there on trying to work w/ breeding laced birds)
but everyone has to pay'their way at my homestead & I think I'm going to have to settle for something more dull for my high egg production flock (?sigh)

Just working on finishing up the diy 'bator and dreaming about all the possibilities (yah, haven't even hatched yet & I know I've got it BAD, totally hooked)

Country's are not laying yet. Mine were pretty good layer before they started molting. I was getting 3-4 eggs a day most days from 4 hens.

Country, I really need to come get you, cuz come spring I need to be moved so I can start building more breeding pens..... I have found a swap page and have lots of new breeds coming. I have about 2 doz CCL, 1 doz Tolbunts, 6 Jubilee Orps, 1 doz MFL........ Plus I have a couple of Olive Egger Projects I will need pens for and my Choc Orps too...... yeah I need 10 more

I'm good. Thanks for asking. Just realy busy lately Work, Holidays. Just got back from GA. went to see my GDaughter for her Bday. My happy news about a new GBaby is no more but they are dealing with that better than I expected so sad for them.
On the chicken front I found out I have lice on my birds gross Lost one of my White roos and have no idea why. We lost him while we were gone and my daughter said they all were fine day before then poof but it happens. Got lucky that it was a roo stil have 4 pullets and 3 rooroos to work with so still happy about that! I need to do a Vickie cut myself and really thin. It will leave me with only selling 6 eggs at a time on some but they wil be much better for it. As they say the bad ones eat just as much as the god ones!

Sorry to hear about that baby..... I know that is heart breaking. I lost a baby between my two, but it helped me knowing it never developed into a baby.... not one I saw on the ultrasound anyway. If I had seen a baby with a heart beat and then lost it, I don't think I could have stood that. Bad enough as it was.

You can set up 2 pairs and a trio with that combo. Sometime it can be a good thing. I need to keep enough to have eggs to sell, 6-8 would be good but 10 would be great.

I think it does..... the pour on kind should.
