Chad I love the new incubator! Looks really good I bet you could get away with the smaller incu kit with it being all level you would not have to worry about the temp stacking. My small one puts out plenty of heat I just don't think I have enough fans to get it moving up, down, and all around and I get a bit of difference from shelf to shelf. I may have to rebuild myself. Think you could come off with the measurments or the cut sheet?

I was told because we don't have a " farm policy " it might not be covered. Econman do you have a farm policy? & who are you with if you dont mind me asking ?

Most of you probably have electricity in your coops....I don't. But I do have lights! Costco has a pack of battery operated lights....6 in a pack, each about 3" in diameter with adhesive backs ....LCD and they put out a lot of light!! It comes with all the batteries and here's the best part.....a remote control. All for only $28 , well worth it for me. They put out so much light that I only used 3, and could have only used 2 to light my coop which is 10x10. So now when I go put the girls to sleep, I don't have to take a flashlight. I think I like it more than they do because they really tell me off when I turn the lights on....LOL

I put a couple of those in the closet under the stairs. I have no idea why it didn't have a light in it but it was a very simple and inexpensive fix. And now we don't have to hope there is a flashlight in there during tornado warnings (it's our safe room).

We are with Metlife. No farm policy. Right in the middle of Murfreesboro. I had a contractor come out and write damage and bid up first. Then adjuster came out. Funny thing is contractor didn't write up coop but adjuster asked me if I wanted it fixed. Who knows, guess every company is different.

I just found out I am getting a Breeding age (laying) Pair of SOMETHING SPECIAL

So did not see that coming.

Maybe next week or the week after not sure yet but YEAH!

They are the SECOND most expensive birds I have acquired. LOL (BLRW and SLW being the MOST expensive)

Can't wait for the Jubilees in the Spring or Summer

I so NEED to make some pens ASAP.

Becky, those Crested Cream Legbars I just hatched ALL were roos and I think crosses with a Marans to boot. 1 had feathered legs LOL. I might keep that one. It MIGHT be a pullet.... the other 2 are roos for sure.

I also seem to have a Pair of White Wyandottes. They are getting SOOOOO Big. Much bigger than the others that hatched with them. I am going to have so many pairs that need smaller pens

If anyone has some links to some easy pens for pairs let me know. I am going to hunt tonight.

It is the COOP part. It needs to be an out building or something.

i dont know if i can get away with that now that they have turned in the claim, took pics complete with sign that read " the Fowl Frontier". we'll see i'm planning on asking for another adjuster. I had o work over today so i didnt get to call my agent.

New breeds are ALWAYS exciting. Congrats, whatever it is!

We are getting two Jubilee Orp pairs in March... cannot wait! I have wanted Jubilees for SO long.
