Got it stained and sealed just need to make some doors and get it wired up. If anyone is interested in the pepsi cabinet let me know. I'll take 50 bucks for it.

New Bator still need to make some doors yet.

This pepsi cooler is for sale I'll take 50.00 for it. Just the cabinet alone
no heater or turners

Pepsi cooler with incukit minus turners and digital hydrometer 150.00. I would rather someone on this thread have it with the heater than take it apart. It really doesn't matter I just have to be able to get a heater in my new one. Lockdown is today after this hatch it will be disassembled if not sold.

My black frizzles are mixed. Hen is a black bantam Cochin frizzle and roo is either black silkie or colorful smooth sizzle (all bantam). So my chicks are frizzles but they have 5 toes and dark skin. May end up with walnut combs, too not sure if that will be true for all. Super cute but I don't know if the mix is what you're looking for.

Spent some of the day rearranging chickens. Got the 2 EE pullets out of the Orp pen and moving the EEs to a more secure pen. I am going to try to hatch some chicks this year.

I think I am even going to break down and by a small incubator. I know I said I would only depend on a broody hen but really want to get some babies off my Orps

So excited -- construction has begun on the juvenile detention center annex! (That's what I'm calling the grow-out pen...) This time, it really should be finished BEFORE the chicks arrive. It should be equally suitable for a batch of fully feathered chicks or a broody hen and peeps. Not to mention that it could house an injured hen should the need arise. I like having the brooder on the back porch so I can watch hours of chick TV but after seeing the icy reception given to grown pullets introduced with the stranger in the night technique, a step 2 was deemed necessary by the reluctant spouse.
LOL......my grandson calls watching the chickens, Chicken TV

My EE finally decided to lay again. First eggfrom her in 2 months, first egg since the tornado too. I dont count the one the day after since it was formed pre tornado. I finally got the repair details from the adjuster. Nothing for the coop. After seeing the list it seems he left some stuff off so tomorrow I'll call my agent and ask for another adjuster. My head hurts , I'm tired & haven't even delt with a contractor yet. Oh well what you gonna do? I miss chicken tv.

WHY are they not covering the coop? I would call the agent and see what he can do. If you stay with them for ins, I would MAKE sure the coop is covered in the next policy.

Chad I love the new incubator! Looks really good I bet you could get away with the smaller incu kit with it being all level you would not have to worry about the temp stacking. My small one puts out plenty of heat I just don't think I have enough fans to get it moving up, down, and all around and I get a bit of difference from shelf to shelf. I may have to rebuild myself. Think you could come off with the measurments or the cut sheet?
