I like the idea of the 15th, too! Would this be a good month to meet outside? There's some nice areas at Old Fort Park ...

I could do May 15th.

I really like the idea of an outside meeting too!

May 15th- Sunday right???

Works for me whichever day but just want to be sure we are all looking at the right month. Outside sounds great. Anyone have a preference to where- city wise...

Holly,
I am not taking this on, seriously, I know you do the organizing. I just missed out on the last ones and I REALLY want to go to one. It is simply being excited. Overly excited....wanting to add to the chicken brood, find homes for some of mine, talk chicken with people that like to talk chicken, etc, etc.

Ahh it's Anne that does this one...I want to get one started closer to the plateau area-Cookeville I think so those in that area of Mid TN can have as much fun as we do and those of us that can do both can have twice as much fun
big_smile.png
I have been too busy to get one started though.
I'm fine with outdoors weather permitting or a shelter type thing if they have one....May can be rainy I remember a weekend last year

So who would "need" me to bring chicks or bigger .the saying here is Here's a chick there's a chick everywhere is a chick chick
Also have eggs...save me from hatching more!

My May is very busy the 15th is the only weekend day I believe I have. Our daughter turns 8 on the 20th and our oldest turns 20 on the 28th

then add Memorial Weekend and I can't see straight. June looks better for me Girl Scouts is out and that only leaves Gymnastics so I may try to plan one in Cookeville in June but since you live there and I'm only there it seems every week I'm open to where to hold it if you have some good ideas on that. I know it would draw lots of new people that just can't drive all the way to the M'Boro area. It's the same drive time for me to either.
My kids have talked me into a few Bantam Bunnies

I know but here they will be Bantam not dwarf so now we add rabbits to the collection once again

Must re-home some extra chickens must re-home some extra chickens!

The 15th works for me. We kind of talked about doing the last one outside, but just didn't do it. I'm game though. Picnics are fun.

Holly you are the busiest person I know! Holy cow, woman! You need a vacation! No chickies for me, but if you make the next meet up you can bring me eggs. I'll fire up the bator and hatch out little Holly fuzzballs.

emmalynn- would you have any welsummer eggs for sale or trade? I have a couple wellies and would love to hatch out some more. They are great layers and I do love those dark eggs. I've got BBS Ameraucanas, EEs and buff silkies around here.

Spent the day here at museums. My feet are pooped! It is cold and rainy outside though, so staying inside was a happy choice. I'm not sure what we are doing tomorrow. My short list of important stuff to do has been done. Everything left would be bonus fun.

I think I have finally cracked the code to the subway. Sadly, I have had a harder time navigating here than I had in Italy (and I don't speak Italian!). I didn't get lost today though, so whoohoo!!

Of course, I have wandered around wondering if you could put a garden and chicken coop on top of all these tall buildings. Hawks might be a problem, but if you built a fort knox that would hold up to the wind and random wild life, you could totally have fresh eggs in downtown. You could also make a killing selling organic, cage free eggs. Food prices are crazy!

What are the rest of y'all up to?

Annie, don't have toooo much fun! Don't wanna make your kiddo's jealous!

Y'all, there's a great pavilion at Old Fort Park, covered and big enough to hold way more than we had at the Jan meetup.....plus birds. I tried calling to see if we could reserve it today but they close at 3:30. I'll check tomorrow. There's restroom and parking right there - everything we'd need for a rain or shine meet. It's about 7 min off I-24 exit at 96, a straight shot. Anyone coming 840 could hop on 24 for 1 exit and be right there.

How's that sound if we can get it?

Anne-I so agree so next time you go on one of your awesome vacations you can stash me in your luggage
lol.png
I've been to NY several times though being a New England Brat still would go though
big_smile.png
We are going to try for a vacation this year now taking applications for animal sitter

No problem bringing eggs my bantams are laying like crazy..well all but the Mille Fleur they lay once in a great while. I'm firing up my bator tonight...oops I meant he 6th bator

Believer that would be super..then we don't have to worry about May showers that way.

We have Cane Creek Park which is beautiful & has a good portion of open area for whatever I absolutely love it there! My daughter turns 9 on the 14th so it falls right after an important day & works for me! I'm so new & have never been to a meet up so I'm really excited at the idea!!!
