Sorry I forgot to answer you. Ok cuckoos have spots on their heads. Either could be cuckoo I have blue cuckoos too. No spots would be copper marans. If you can get me a closer picture I can help more.

I can sure find out if mine are dom white or recessive.  Dom is easy to get rid of   I know what you mean about the orps.  $$$$ I have some chickens coming I would have never thought I could afford.... next year will be fun.

find someone that LOVES to paint and offer them eggs and chickens in payment? lol I don't mind painting its all of the prep work involved I hate to do....and the cleaning up after. I am sorry you are going through so much but you will make it through it all!

I like that idea, but I am not sure I trust anyone to paint for me. I don't even let hubby paint. He leaves runs all over the walls.

Professional painters are really expensive..... I can't justify paying someone to paint. I still hate it. Especially windows.

If I could get those I would be set for coops. Then I would just have to build runs. They would make life really easy. I could knock out several pens a day with those boxes. I have an order for 15-20 chicks and he wants all the colors I will hatch.

That will be the biggest batch I have set of the Lavs so I will probably get some solid whites too. I am going to hatch some extras too. I need a few more whites.

I went and checked the others too. I have two lavs and two splits and one that looks like it has a rose comb (that HUGE one) along with the white.



It was not impressed to be outside for two minutes.
