Ha! I guess they would, but metro lets you homeschool as long as you fill out a form before school starts. I keep track of my hours taught and turn it in at the end of the year. Easy peasy. We do every other year as a compromise. The hubs is supportive, but he also thinks "real" school is important, too. It has worked for us so far. The kids have no problem going back and forth. They are in scouts, church, etc... that keeps them up to date with friends. I'm kind of ready for a break by the end of the "home" year, too. Then I miss them and can't wait for the "real" school year to be over again! Why do you do it every other year? Don't the schools come looking for you when they don't show up the next year?
Good luck with the eggs.... maybe you will get some..... if not I have chicks LOL

If that work for you good! I had never heard of anyone doing that. Doing it through Metro Schools they still have to take all the state tests the year you home school. I don't want the government looking over my shoulder so I am not going that route. I don't really have a problem with the tests but I don't want to TEACH to a test. There are 4 ways to homeschool in TN. One is like what you are doing and register with the schools. The most popular is to register with and Umbrella school and do your own thing without the STATE telling you what to do.
I think I will start a thread.... WHAT do you think?
I picked mine up at walmart but it might not fit in your bator. They have them for reptiles too.
I use one similar to this in the incubator.
