Loved my Salmon Faverolle ….until the hawk got her. I may get another. She was fine in the heat and the cold, laid regularly, not aggressive. Hope that helps.

Made a quail feeder out of a Betty Crocker icing can, 5 flattened glass drops (used in decorations) and a large peanut butter lid. Super glue together. As many times as necessary. (Took 3 times and some books on top to get it to stick right.)

I have QUAIL! I was taking the 4 chicken chicks out of the aquarium Hatcher/brooder when I heard some peeping from the incubator. They were not due until Friday. I was moving the chicks to the brooder in the basement when I heard them. I have six Cortunix so far. The bobs haven't started hatching yet.

Ooh then I may be calling on you and screaming HELP! Lol but I'm excited to try.

Thanks.... I did kick them out LOL.  They walked around the pen today looking like "what are they doing in there?"  the little ones would run to the other side for fear of the "BIG ONES" ..... it was entertaining.

The big ones do roost in a tree near the pen.  My only real worry is feeding and watering them now.  I don't want to leave feed out.  I know they will get plenty of food running round.  They may go going my neighbors guineas.

Haha, guineas are entertaining!

With feeding, you might want to try a once or twice a day feeding, you could put the food in pans, I do that and they finish it all.

After moving from SC to the Knoxville area finally back in the chicken business. YEAH!!!

Got 15 Buff Brahmas from a breeder in Wisconsin.

And 2 BCM's that were extras.

May have to get more good BCM's now that I have these 2. And still wanting to add good Barred Rocks and Heritage Reds. Then I'll be set. LOL. House and land closing Oct 1 in Maynardville. Can't wait.
