love it that's awesome Troyerchicks....it's always nice when neighbors are on board !!

Does anyone have a link to the Newnan, GA show? The link I keep following is for a February show. What are the details about the March show? Is it breed specific? Is it on March 12th or on the 13th?

The March 12th show is in Dalton and they are not giving it any promotion

. If my new bunch settle in soon I will be taking 2 pair down-will have to wait and see how they are doing closer to the show.

Hey City!

Holly is right, the March show is in Dalton. The Newnan one was last weekend.

I started a thread re. the Spring Fling bantam double show down in Dalton, GA on March 12 - - https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=5695752#p5695752 . Brown Egg Blue Egg finally has the show listed, http://www.browneggblueegg.com/Shows.html , and I have also e-mailed Chris (NGaMountainChicken) for more info. He is in that club and helps set up for the shows. The November Dalton show had around 1400 entries. Not sure what a double show will be like!

Still waiting to hear from Chris with more juicy details. I can post the addy/directions in the morning if we don't hear from him.

We have our feed made here at a local feed mill..it's a lot like Purina Flock Raiser but WAY cheaper

20% protein but we have kelp added to it where Purina doesn't I don't think.I'm not sure what would be comparable in a co-op feed.I don't recommend Dumor-TSC's brand because it makes the chicken poo smell worse than chicken poo

Today is the day...the day the chicks move out

if anyone can imagine what it's like to have between 50-150 chicks in the house..some are now singing the egg song so they got BIG down there. Thanks Mr Winter for making it so hard on all of us

None too soon should have around 150 new fluffy butts by next weekend..hatch chicks hatch
I still have lots of OE chicks fully feathered and by the end of the weekend that pen will no longer have the Marans so the end of the OE is near

Morning all! Nice and warm again today, but that wind is already up. Oh well. I'll take what I can get and be glad of it!

1newegg, I agree with OklaDD. A slight dip down in temp is much, much better than a spike up. No worries!

HBuehler, congratulations!!!!! It's a great day for babies to get out to their new coop. They will have a warm, sunny day to get used to the outside world. Whatever will you do with all that extra space, though?????

CityGirl, could it be that you're going to attend the Dalton show? Careful now, you just might be tempted by BANTIES!!!

Shelly? Where's Shelly? Enjoying the weather, I hope. If you're out and about the forum, how are your critters doing? Did you sell your Appy gelding? Are you expecting baby angora bunnies yet? Did you get new goats? Is that enough questions????

Troyerchicks, have you decided on chicken breeds yet? I can't remember if you built a coop already?? How many are you thinking of?

Well, hope everyone gets out and enjoys the weather!
