The Middle Tennessee Thread

Holly, since you didn't mention any damage I hope that means you had none! I checked here on you all before I went to the news (no tv in this house) so I'm hoping everyone else is ok.

My sister in law came down from Ohio Wed afternoon and was not a happy camper yesterday. They don't have weather like this where she comes from.

On to the news......

What happened???

I'll be brief this morn - - my internet has been down, and is now as slow as dial-up.

Holly, thanks for your concern - - I was here worried about YOU, LOL! It blew like mad here, but all is well. Soaked, but well. When the front hit, it was like a slap! Rain came completely horizontal. Two dogs had panic attacks. . . very helpful. Chickens grumpy this morning, but already laying. No major tree damage, just lots of small branches and leaves. Think the really bad wind passed just south of me; I could see the scary clouds pass south of the high school.

Hope all is well, and that all our TN folks are safe this morning!

All is well here. We are soggy and have more dead limbs on the ground, but everyone is well. The weather must be making my girls happy. I had 9 eggs last night and then there were 5 more this morning. Clearly we are ramping back up again. Whoohoo!

Hope all are doing okay! Spring storms make me nervous.

Thought I'd jump on here and check to see how everyone was after last nights storm. It was so bad over here that my son asked me if we should get in the bathtub... We live pretty close to the Rutherford county line here in Lebanon, so we almost always have tornado warnings. We don't have a basement or garage, so we always hop into the bathtub

I woke up this morning to find out that the roof was ripped right off of our chicken coop. I have no idea how we are going to fix this. We are not handy-people and the roof was attached by hinges that were ripped right off. There are now holes in the roof where they were attached. Hopefully we can figure something out. In the meantime I just set it back up.

Thankfully the chickens are all fine and I was surprised to find an egg in there this morning!

Hey guys!

I haven't had time to finish reading this thread (so looong! lol)

Were in Crossville and I was wondering if anyone on BYC lives around here?

The storm here knocked over my partially buried long with a large grinding stone on it. Didn't seem as bad as the weatherman said though. Poor hyacinths got smashed though.
