It's only progress if you aren't plotting to hatch out your own.

That's the only reason I can walk by the TSC bins without taking a few home.

Glad your baby is feeling better. It is always scary when they aren't well. If you are getting the stink eye she must be on the road to recovery.

Okla- Your babies are adorable! What are the little chipmunky ones? Are those showgirls or turkens I see?

Holly- where in the world did you find the stuffed silkies? They are adorable!! You know I must have some.
smile.png
I"m thinking Easter gifts for the nieces. You can never start them down the chicken path too soon.
smile.png

Shelley- didn't you just have a new grandbaby? Do we get pictures?

Hi, Jen!
frow.gif

Holly - your insane! Those assorted chicks are just to cute, that's going to make me smile all day.

troyerchicks - you made great progress on saving your chick, you should be very proud. I bet a lot of people would lose there chicken because they don't know what to look for and fix.

Gold Griffin Chicken Mom - sounds like we need to see a youtube video of you giving chicken massages - LOL

Okla-doodle-doo - your a great chicken photographer that's for sure. Are there 'naked necks' in there? I thought I seen two in one of your pics.

citygirl - I'll try to find some 'extra' (ha) time to upload a pic of the grandby. Just been slammed lately at work and getting behind at home on stuff. so much to do for spring ... and my mom , sister and nephew are coming up from FLA for a week long visit this Saturday - yeah!!!!

I seriously need to finish my bantam coop/run asap . I am getting tired of chasing the Dutch bantam rooster around the barn, boy is he flighty. If I go in his horse stall to look for eggs he flies up on the rafters and into the stall with the Jap rooster and hen. So then I have to chase him out of there and it turns into an hour chase. Good thing I'm smarter then him though ... I figured out a 'bag' trick. I put an empty feed bag strategically and chase him into it ... it's worked three times alreay (the dummy - hee he hee).

I started incubating 6 of these bantams eggs last night 10pm, 2 Dutch and 4 Jap. So I guess in 7-10 days I'll know it they are fertile and doing ok. Round 3 of my incubation attempts.

Troyer so glad yor chickie is doing better.

City girl same here about TSC chicks. I went there w/ 4th DH...all they had were leghorns..she was wanting to hold them. I said nah we got all kinds of babies at home for you to hold. So that worked!

HBuehler do those chicks cheep too they r cute!
T
Shelly wow I can't imagine the tiny babies that will come out of those tiny eggs
smile.png
. I just hatched some silkies and they seem small compared to the EE s I hatched on my first hatch. So now on my third

hope all goeS well.

It's gonna be another beautiful day today!

Troyerchicks, so glad to hear your girl seems better. The good thing about keeping them confined is that you can watch their food and water intake very closely.

OklaDD, thanks for the chick pics! What a lovely bunch you have! Sweet little things.
love.gif
Give me a call if you find you have too many bantam blue egger pullets!

CityGirl, a Great Pyrenees showed up in my yard today. I came very close to luring her into my yard and closing the gate, LOL! Was it a sign???
big_smile.png

Gold Griffin CM, great massage story! Been there, LOL! (but I didn't tell anyone, heh heh!)

Holly, what kind of eggs you hatchin over there, girl?? I think those might be the best breeds for QUIET roos, huh!
tongue.png

Shelly, can you just staple some hardware cloth over the stall door openings (without blocking the door shut) for your bantams? That might hold you over until you can get the coops done. ?

Fun times here today. Been outside scrubbing the house (siding) with a bucket and scrub brush. I decided to just keep going and do the back porch and garage, too. Too bad I'm not 20 any more.

Pain. Cannot . . . raise . . . arms . . . . . . Someone stop over here . . . and hold . . . . my . . . wineglass. . . .

The upside is that somewhere underneath all this chub there are some pretty ripped muscles forming this spring. Maybe if I flex just right, one or two will eventually show.

Insane and bring the straight jacket I need a vacation from everything right NOW
Those are Jenski's chicks completely silent and mine for they don't eat or poop
big_smile.png
I found them at Hobby Lobby we also got some a bit bigger than the rainbow's in all yellow but the silkies I couldn't resist. They are really cute
Just getting back from Foley's I left early this morning but when I was 5 miles from them I lost first gear...YEAH not when I went to meet up with Anne in M'Boro you know reasonably close to home...over 160 miles away with all 3 kids I have had a blast getting home I can tell you. From Portland when I got off the Interstate to my house it took nearly 3 hours stopping frequently

It's probably a sensor...remember when cars had engines transmissions and brakes and they hardly ever broke now they are so smart they live with a computer tech trying to figure them out.
Oh the chicks are so cute and the roo is going to be beautiful..he's only around 6 months so he's still small but nice.

Have a bunch going to lockdown tomorrow but they are all sold-better hatch better hatch. After that I have some wheaten Ameraucana's, FBCM and Cornish crosses hatching next Friday while I'm in Gatlinburg....planned that well didn't I
somad.gif

I need some of Jenski's wine..oh wait I can't get there unless I drive my jeep..oh well I'll just go bury myself in chick fluff and Donkey love..hopefully selling a few more chicks tonight.

Holly you should have stopped by and left those chicks at my house when you went thru Portland!lol Glad you made it back safe and in one day!
For those who asked, yes there are turkin bantam chicks in the pictures. Also silkies, and ee bantams and golden comet bantams. And one glorious pycheon chick! I am so proud of it! And this morning after I changed their papers I was admireing them and couldn't find the pycheon chick! Finally after frantic moments I found it rolled up in the thrown away papers!

Sure have enjoyed the nice weather . Been digging and splitting perrienals and replanting them. Dug up two ornamental grasses, one made 8 starts, one made 11! Then I had to find places to put them all!
idunno.gif

The chickens are enjoying my gardening efforts, they get all the grass and roots to pick over. They are all still laying, need some more to go broody,I'm down to only three setting right now.
Jenski are you looking for more point of lay pullets or just chicks when they get older. I am sure I will have several to pick from later. Have quite a few in this group. And they are so cute, fussy cheeks and little goatees!

Okla-I thought about you when I was going through..thought about leaving me 3 kids and a bunch of birds until my rescue squad arrived
frow.gif
.
Sold 2 more pullets tonight...still a bunch more to go if anyone needs a few more.

Well, the down side to driving a foreign car is the few repair bills..you don't get many but when you do they kill you
he.gif

So we are selling more chickens than we figured we would be
