The boys are naturally protective, and so many are just so good! I could not keep that pen of bantam hens without Remy. He is my round-the-clock coop manager. . . he keeps the peace, listens to the hens gripe, sorts out hen scuffles, and always always watches out for the hens. If he hears a hen squawk, you can believe he will be marching over
tout suite! If a predator approaches his pen, he shoos the girls inside and races to bravely meet the scary creature and guard the doorway. (They call out every hawk, too!) Now that I have had my little roos, I can't imagine living without them. If I hear my roos crow at night, I know I'd better get outside quick!
