Okay silkie lovers unite (and showgirl lovers of their chicken empire)- I have been talking to Vickie Harry (Sunshine Silkies) and Aimee Crego (Signature Farm)- I am trying to work out where I will meet them on their way to Crossroads show and pick up my pre-paid silkies. I am willing to coordinate and pick up any birds ya'll want to buy as well. Then we can work out getting them to you or meeting or you coming out to the house. NPIP people- I am willing to isolate your stock from mine as I do not have NPIP certification to the extent of my parent's babysitting your birds at their house. They live just the next farm up but have no livestock so things should be fine.

Both breeders are going to be sending me pics and prices of available birds so I need to know what everyone is interested in, if anyone is even interested. I myself have asked for info on pullets- BBS/white/porcelain/lav.

Umm Lori I always respond. I am just needing a ride for my new cock bird from Jennifer Vidmar. Whom might I add has beaten a white silkie for Champion Silkie with a blue pullet at Western Nationals this year. Also taking BV and RV at the same show with her blacks. I love Jen and I love her birds no talking me into anything else not even if it was free and had already won. I am so super excited I can't stand myself right now. I am just not wanting to ship but may have to. I will be an absoulte mess.


And guys if you could please send your thoughts to my Grandpa for a quick journey to be with my Grandma I would appreciate it. He has been off all life support for 5 days now and still hanging on. I just don't want to watch him lay there for 3 weeks like my Grandma did. No real health issuses he just gave up when Granny passed 6 mths ago. He can't weigh more than 80 lbs.

Emmalynn, I am ignoring your temptation.

Until I get my job situation figured out I can't build any more pens so I am only adding to the current pens. While I would LOVE some lavs, I don't want to muddy the waters in my buff pen. Why don't some of y'all get some lavs though and I can buy from y'all if I get to stay in Middle TN?

Holly- you know you love the silkies. The funkier the better.

Tish- Honey I am so sorry to hear that it is getting worse. We had talked about it all before and I know you are having a real rough time with all of this. Thinking of you lots. I'm working 12 hour days right now but call me anyway. We don't even have to talk...you can breathe in the phone...that sounds bad but you know what I mean about companionable silence.

Anne- You can't leave Mid TN- Just getting to know you so you can't leave. I plan on a lav or two so if things work out for you...we will do chicks!

Now,I didn't say I would sell Reeses and Toast or the other two..I have to answer to the little bosses on the Silkies. I need to find a different pen for them though...they are in with the mottled Cochin's and poor Toast is going to have a permanently crooked neck from always looking over his shoulder..where is he...where is he.Strangely,I have never seen the "big" roo do a thing to him.Now,if it were Sam I would understand

that's one mighty want to be a chicken.

The thought of leaving here makes me want to throw up. Literally. I get ill every time I think of it. I would likely have to sell off most if not all of my chickens.
