I have four pens that can hold 25-30 each that are not full yet. I am planning breeding pens, hubby just thinks that is further down the road... NOT!! I can build them without help, or behind his back

Congrats on the recent kill Citygirl. I sincerely hope something pans out in the job field for you soon I can't imagine the stress level associated with that. Cute guinea pig pics Okla doodle but I am highly allergic to them. I found that out the hard way after rescuing one from becoming snake food and wound up in the ER.

DMrippy I feel you one the 57 eggs I had a friend set 54 for for me today I just couldn't bring myself to not let these babies hatch. I will pick up chicks after my hubby goes back to work and he will be none the wiser. I do expect some not to develop becasue the oldest eggs were 10 days old. Good luck on your hatch!

The home inspection went great today. No suprises at all. A very well maintained home, so it looks like I have a move in my near future. I am just so happy my house hunting is over. I have been keeping the streets hot looking at houses. We close on the 20th! Hubby may be home to help with the move which would be great but not a sure thing just yet. I have already ask some dear friends to help with moving all coops and chickens and that is freaking fantastic. Oh and building runs on the existing building I will be converting. Gotta love great friends.

Good night all may you dream of hens a laying and chicks a hatching, And wake to the oh sweet sound of a rooster crowing.

Wow that is alot of chicks! Bout 4 months back I had bout 120 eggs in my incubator. Buff Orpington/RIR cross. But something happened when I was out of town for a week. One of my family members were supposed to be taking care of=f it but when I got back the bator was off and cold. I was hoping it had just been an hour or so but 21 one days went by and no chicks. talk bout a bummer. Last time i'll leave town in the middle of a brood lol

You have no idea how many roos I have running around here right now. Needless to say, I have plenty to pick and choose from to get the keepers.

Some of the EEs are too pretty and some local friends have taken them but the rest are destined for freezer camp. MURHAHAHA...tasty.

Tish- congratulations on the house

and for finding someone else to hatch eggs for you. You know that is cheating, your incubators are off but "not really".
