Have you done anything yet? You HAVE to go downtown and visit broadway and 2nd ave. Tootsie's, Ryman, Wildhorse Saloon lots of shops and eating down there. Parthenon, Frist Center, Symphony hall is to die for, County Music hall of Fame lots to do in that area. I don't really know what is open on Sunday but you could try the Nashville Visitors Bureau for some info and maybe a map.

Enjoy! There is lots to do here all the time!

There usually are several breeders there. Its like any swap, always lots of folks with their own"pure breed whatevers" .but I have seen some show quality there also. Like the Punk said,go early, its not been lasting as long as it used to.There is usually a good selection of bird species, and critters and some Mennonite goodies and a few crafts and even snake traders!

Guess the Punk and I will hiit the Franklin,Ky sale barn tomorrow. Its the last sale at that location. The property has sold and the barn will be torn down. The auctioneer is moveing the sale up on 100 HWY. They have had regular auctions there since back in the 40s or earlyier. Hate to see those old icons go away!

If you're into Civil War history, there's the Carnton Plantation and Carter House in Franklin - lots of Battle of Franklin info/history. Downtown Nashville has The Ryman Auditorium, Tootsie's, Frist Center - all the things DMRippy wrote about. Radnor Lake - out Franklin Road towards Brentwood - is a beautiful place for hiking and seeing nature. Nashville is a great place to live and visit.

Thanks for the ideas! We ended up going to Wildhorse Saloon, Coyote Ugly, and The Stage last night...had a blast! I think we're going to rent a car tomorrow and go to the Belle Meade Plantation for the arts and crafts festival they're having, then possibly on to Carnton Plantation if we're not too worn out.

Well I made it back from Jack's and I managed to leave with a few dollars in my pocket still.
I ended up with 2 splash pullets. I named the 3 mth old Kit after my buddy Dole, and the 4 mth old Fergie. Connie got a very nice splash as well. If she leaves this chicken here any longer I may let her have an overnight visit with my Edward.

I will get you all pics tomorrow.
Ok I am wore out from all the excitement today. It was more fun than Disney and Jack is just so great. Oh I hatched out 4 Showgirls and 3 silkies yesterday.

Belle Meade is an interesting place. So is the Hermitage (although it is in the opposite direction). If you are into the Civil War at all, then Carnton will be really cool for you. It served as a field hospital for one of the big battles. There are still blood stains upstairs where they did surgery. It even has a ghost or two.

Carnton isn't far from downtown Franklin. If the weather is nice, park the car and wander down main street. There are some interesting little shops.

Have fun!

I know we usually share baby pics, but I thought I would share pics of my splash boy. I think he will be next year's ameraucana flock rooster. He hatched out earlier this year and still has some growing to do. I think he is coming along nicely though.

Hey City Girl he reallys is a nice roo! He will be awesome when fills out and gets that mature "I'm the king" lokl and attitude!lol.

Had a good time at the sale today. Visited with a bunch of chicken buddies, heard about their adventures at the Cookville Exotic sale. They said it was a buyers market there also. Not like in the spring when it was a sellers market.

I came home with a young harlequin buck rabbit and another muscovy chocolate hen. the Punk left earlry and went to Tim & Susies swap. He brought home some more fuzzy butts I believe.

Kandi&jerry did you all make it there? They said there were quite a few bantams there early, hope you were able to snap you up some.

Well headed to bed,Visit with you good folks tomorrow.
