Hey, guys! I have two of these little guys and they desperately need a new home before the grown rooster in that pen beats them up. They are some sort of silkie/cochin cross.
They are free to a happy home. They are identical and sweet as can be. Puhleeeeeeeezzzzeeee somebody take them.
OMG they are getting interesting looking. They are from my mottled pen black and blue that had my silkies growing up in there.Only my white girl had begun to lay.We did a bunch of frizzles from that pen this Spring and had taken the roo out about a week before I started collecting eggs...those hackles could only come from the frizzle roo here.
I've seen a few mentions about a saturday auction in Elkton but can't find much info on the web. I gather it's at the Bluegrass Stables? Can anyone point me in the right direction? What time does it start? What do the generally have? I'm not really looking for anything but have some free time and thought I might check it out. Not really sure how those sales go - I gather you'd need to have your own carrier? (you know, just in case....)
yes elkton sale is this saturday and the poultry sale starts usually around 11 but its best to get there early the address is 205 tress shop road elkton ky 42220 you can mapquest it and get directions from where you live......
I am blinded by the cuteness! My goodness I am not a huge fan of the silk but wowie love the Showgirl babies!
(I don't dislike Silkies just don't have them)
These two are sweet as can be and absolutely adorable in person. I just can't keep them. The silkie roo in that pen will very soon start beating the snot out of them. I hate for them to turn into dinner.
