Note to self close everyone up in the coops before the torrential down pour wow drenched entirely. I had to take a hot shower to warm up. BUT everyone is safe and sound

and the thunder is still rolling.

Glad to hear everything is fine. Lots of storms around middle TN this evening.

I had a note to self today too! Don't put an egg in your jacket pocket thinking you'll remember to take it inside before getting the coop ready for the rain. My jacket is now in the washer.

Her place sounds AWESOME! I wanna go live there with the chickies.

I am happy to announce that I finally found a home for those cutie pie silkie/cochin boys. YAY! I met a guy at a gas station this morning and passed them on (and doesn't that cause a stir at teh gas station?!). He has a flock of silkie hens and was just delighted to have some boys to add to the mix. He kept saying "They are just beautiful!". He and his wife were delightful. Go chickeny people! I was just pleased to find someone nice to take them. They were so stinkin' cute and full of personality. If the rooster in their pen hadn't been giving them the evil eye they would have stayed here!

Ummm packing and heading south? It sure got cold fast!!! I am thinking chicken dumplings tomorrow in the crock pot yummy!! Love the crock pot in the colder weather. Oh by the way I changed my name from 1newegg
