He gets half a point for smelling up both the yard and me. He's dead now, but the yard still stinks. So do I. Clearly I found the troublemaker from the other night. Sigh. Happy birthday to me.

I am of two minds about showing. It would be loads of fun and now that I get weekends off I would probably be able to make one. On the other hand I don't really have a great way to quarantine them once I bring them back home. It would make me sick to haul a couple off to be shown and then bring something back to the whole flock. Plus, mine are on dirt and not wire, so their feet don't stay in show shape. Dunno. I'd love to at least go to a show again. The last one was very interesting.
Getting a clear color is the hard part. About half of this lot are nice and dark, but are showing black or blue in wings and tails. They are pretty, but that is a DQ I believe. The black is anyway. I think blue is okay, but frowned upon. It is so stinkin' tricky to get a dark clear. At least one is too white. There are a couple that look really promising though. We shall see.

Next local-ish show is Newport on 11/12, then Dalton 11/26, Lawrenceburg 12/03, Sparta 12/17, Jefferson, GA 01/14/12, Dalton 02/04/12, and Newnan 02/18-19/12. If I am wrong and anyone wants to correct, feel free.

Anne I did not see the black in the wings. Sorry. Like I said I know nothing on buff breeding or the SOP. Jack is the one to ask. Least come out to Newport it will be sooo much fun. And I may need the help picking me up off the floor IF I get CH AOV!
Good job on the skunk sorry he got you. But I would have loved to have caught that on Lori's game cam. haha
Lori I want me some Game cams and keep looking at yard sales no luck yet. I also had a wierdo show up in dress pants and dress shoes in a very pressed button down shirt, saying he wanted to see the Showgirls. I took his A** in the coop in all the poop made sure I handed him a chicken with the smelly poop stuck to her butt and said her check her out for yourself making sure to get poop on his arm when I handed her off. I don't think he had ever been in close contact with chicken poop. I made sure he was very aware I was handy with my 12 guage and told him all about shooting the predators that come around. Needless to say I have not heard or seen him since. I no longer allow anyone I don't know personally on the premises. I just do not care what they think. I have pics on my website and show records to show the quality I have. If you don't trust me then don't buy from me. Makes no difference to me. I know what I have!
