Anne, wanted to update you on the eggs you gave us!Today is day 14....I candled them today for the second time. I attempted at 10 days but honestly have no idea what I'm looking for, having never done this. So I just looked at each of them and paid attention to detail. Today I looked again, looking for changes - I could actually SEE a chick moving around in one!! Two had no changes at all and were perfectly clear, so I decided to be bold (LOL) and remove them. I took them outside and cracked them, and sure enough there was absolutely nothing going on in them...so I did a little happy dance, I got it right.
She's on 10 now. Like I said, I could see very clear movement in one. Another six of them looked right - dark, and more 'full' than they did four days ago. The other three were the darker shelled, and I'm just not certain what I was seeing. Next Wednesday is 20 days....I'm getting excited! If we even get one I'll be thrilled....and dh wants to get an incubator now. Lol!!
