Till the BLRW eggs get here. But that will be my last hatch for a little while. REALLY!

I have chicks, it you know someone that needs some. I have some NH and some clean legged cuckoo marans (blue and reg) I kinda think that is it for now. I have a few more hatching, but not many that would be for sale.

I have to get these pullets out to growout pens ASAP. I am going to use the breeding pens as grow outs for now. By the time they are big enough to put in their reg pens I will have some more to go in their growout pens.

Another reason I need a break.

I would like a few Cuckoo Marans... How much are you asking for them?

just found the four turkeys I hatched dead in their grow pen... I don't know what happened. Also, I've got a dang fox picking me clean of my grown birds. Do any of ya'll have any springtraps I could borrow? I have my rifle and I'm a good shot, but this thing is coming randomly and we are gone most of the day.

I am so sorry! I don't know about traps, but I read somewhere here on BYC that someone deterred a fox by putting a radio out by the coop on talk radio. It might be worth a shot...

Is there a way to tell who is the head bird in the coop? I have 3 cockrels and need to get rid of at least 1 probably 2. I dont want to upset the pecking order to much. So i'd like to get rid of the lowest man on the totem pole (or roost if you will) first.

The way they roost.... the ones higher on the roost are higher in the pecking order. Lower roost lower on the pecking order.
