The Middle Tennessee Thread

I'll be there on Friday...hoping the "Happy Chickens Brood in the Backyard" shirt I ordered gets here in time to wear it to the fair! Woohoo!

Also, random question: is anyone selling adult peacocks here in Middle Tennessee? There's a fella here in Columbia trying to hunt some up for an antebellum house he purchased...

Under one broody hen, another 9 chicks hatched (various breeds). And I'm so excited that there is one white crested black polish in the group. I'm SO hoping it turns out to be a girl! Under my other broody hen, there are at least 3 chicks that I've seen (all EEs) - but will have to wait to see if there are any others. I'm considering slipping three of the SFHs under her tonight.

I'll be selling the SFH chicks - and the EEs that hatch, too - if anyone is interested.

I just found out i have 2 Buff Brahma roos and a speckeled Sussex Roo. I hatched them March 1. They are beautiful birds! would be willing to give them to a god home, hate for them to end up stew. I live in Gallatin. PM me if interested. Tracy

Carol, Which other breeds hatched from my eggs? I was hoping you'd get more polish!

I put them under my broody - and they're still staying under her most of the time. The white crested black polish was easy to identify even with just a glance. LOL! There are some solid black chicks - and I'm really not sure what the others are. I was able to get a quick count - but that's about all. I'll try to get some photos tomorrow - and see if you can help ID them.
