If he still has some next Wednesday, I may make a run...that's when the kiddo goes back to school (and I'd just as soon not try and drag him along)...I'll let y'all know, and put out "feelers" to see if anyone b/t Columbia and Smyrna needs any...

I'd love a few more if you have room. :) Happy to add $ for gas.

A friend is looking to sell her Production reds if any of you know someone looking for laying pullets. She and her daughter did the 4H chick chain and kept 6 plus the bonus polish rooster. They just found out that they are moving to Japan and she is trying to find good homes for everybody. They were hatched back in the spring. All the girls are laying and likely will all winter. They are happy, healthy, friendly birds and would be a great starter flock for someone. They have had a LOT of handling. She is asking $10 a pullet with the rooster going for free. $60 for a ready made flock! Whoohoo!

PM me if you know of anyone who might be interested.

I would chip in some gas too.

Guys, I am new to guineas and I have a question.... how hard would it be to sell older keets, would they relocate well? I know they sometime will come back HOME. When are they TOO old to move? I don't remember how old they are.... They are several months old 4-5 months I think. What would the buy have to do to keep them at their NEW HOME. I am hatching a TON of guinea eggs and thought I might thin down my others so I can add these new colors to my flock. I have a ton of white guinea and could sell about 5-6... maybe some pearls too.

Donna , I don't know from experience... but I have heard that you need to keep them penned up at their new home for about 2 to 3 weeks before turning them out ...so that they will get comfortable in their new surroundings and stay....but I don't know this for a fact...
