Malachi’s heart pounded in his chest as the monster climbed up the stairs and was soon visible. He was frozen, sweat dripped down the side of his face. I can do this. Just as long as I hit it in the head.
It is too powerful for you, you will surely be killed in this fight— I can give you all the strength you could ever need.
I don’t need anything from you, so just go away.
It is foolish to resist, you are just putting off the inevitable.
Malachi brought up his fists and let out a yell as he jumped at the monster. It had the appearance of a reptile, with scaly green skin, a long tail, and tiny eyes. The only ‘human’ quality that it retained was the bipedalism. The monster let out a shriek at its attacker before they both started rolling the stairs, nails tried grasping for something to hold onto before its back slammed against the concrete floor. Malachi started to furiously pound his knuckles into the head of the monster. The monster scratched and snapped its teeth at the man before succumbing to slow painful death. After a while of smashing his fists into the already deceased monster, he tore himself off and sat down beside it, catching his breath from that intense encounter. He could feel the adrenaline coursing through his veins. He was alive. Not dead. He killed his very first monster, and there were bound to be more. Malachi looked over his bloodied hands and could feel the blood that splattered on his face. It would he appeared he just brutally murdered someone in cold blood, but he doubted those crimes mattered anymore in this world.
