If this colour variety is more rare, they might be quite inbred which leads to dwarfism among other issues.
That's possible. I have no clue if the color is rarer or not. I'm just using it to work on buff leghorns (using a buff Minorca male) since I can't get them around here

I saw that this morning too. I laughed. Ain't nothing stopping me from smooching my birds. 🙄🤚
Lol whenever I consume or kiss anything with bacteria risk I just am glad I ate a lot of dirt before in my life and thank my powerful immune system. I could be putting a lot worse things into my body.

Murray Mcmurray. My silvers and rose combed brown came in the same group, and only the reds had issues (besides some bad toes on a silver pullet)
I just recieved Reds and a Silver Leghorn from Murray McMurray...After only one and a half days in the mail, they arrived alive and spunky. We added ACV,electrolites, and a bit of honey in their water. They seemed to find the water fine and the crumbles as well.
The next day one Red started fading and we lost it the next morning; and the following day we lost a Silver. I called them and they offered to add two more chicks to our Summer order.

I’m paranoid about kissing mine  I’ve wanted to a few times but don’t LOL I do hold and snuggle them though (or used to before the one that liked that died haha) but even then I wash my hands when I come in and run in to wash when they scratch me LOL

I saw some Kunes at a swap so it was obligatory that I snapped a pic for Overo.
